| Accusation: | (1) n. a change of some offence: Paratang. Bintang (also suspicion). The accusation against her is that she lied to her teacher: Ang paratang sa kanya ay nagsinungaling siya sa kanyang maestro. (2) an accusing: Pagparatang, pagbintang. |
| Accuse | (1) v. to charge with some offence: Magpratang, paratangan. She was accused of being a liar; Siya’y piratangan sinungaling. (2) to charge in court; Magsakdal isakdal, ipagsakdal. Maghabla, ihabla, ipaghabla. He accused me (Brought action agaist me): Isinakdal (Inihabla) niya ako. Syn. Magsumbong, isumbong, (esp. common in conversation “to tell on someone”). (3) to falsely accuse: Magparatang (Paratangan) nang hindi marapat. Magbintang, pagbintangan (also means to suspect). John was falsely accused: Pinaratangan si Juan nang hindi marapat. The soldier was falsely accused of treachery: Ang kawal ay pinagbintangan ng pagtaksil. |
